NOTE: The i45 series generator is engineered with an automatic choke (auto-choke) feature that closes on the first pull. Auto-choke lets a cold engine start fast and easy but can sometimes prevent a hot engine restart. Let the generator cool for a minimum of 10 minutes before an attempt to restart it. High ambient air temperatures and direct sunlight can increase this wait time. Once the engine is sufficiently cool, the auto-choke lets the generator start-up normally again. This engine cooldown/restart procedure is an intentional and reliable cold-start convenience feature.
